New and Need a Tour?
If you are a rising 9th grader or transfer student and have not received a tour, parents and students can join us on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM. This tour is only for CURRENTLY ENROLLED students who need a review of the campus. This is NOT for families that are shopping. Please sign up for a tour during the school year.

MPHS RISING 9TH GRADERS… GET READY FOR MUSTANG ROUND-UP!
Thursday, August 8, 2024, 8:45 AM to 10:30 AM
Attention all rising freshman! Join us to reconnect with old friends and meet new people in your grade before school starts! There will be a quick Q&A session, learn about the campus, fun activities, treats and a MUSTANG shirt! This event is ONLY for students. Wear comfortable walking shoes & casual clothes. Tell your friends! Spread the word! No need to register, just show up! Mustang Round-Up is rain or shine!

Drop-off & Pick-up for Car Riders:
There will be volunteers directing students upon arrival. Best drop off is 2400 Colony Road, in front of the school circle or parking lot.
Bus Transportation Information:
Buses will pick up at 8:30 at 1) Southside Park (Baltimore Ave and Benjamin St intersection), or 2) Naomi Drennan Center (750 Beal St.), or 3) Tyvola Dr./Tyvola Rd. Buses will drop off at those locations by 11:00 AM.
NEW OPEN CAMPUS DATE!
Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
CMS Leadership has recently provided a standard Open House Schedule for 2024-2025 in order to align schedules by level and better engage the community. High Schools will be Tuesday, August 20, Middle Schools will be Wednesday, August 21 and Elementary and Pre-K will be Thursday, August 22.
Students and their parents are invited to walk the Myers Park High School campus in order of their class schedule, find their classrooms, and meet their teachers. There are three 40-minute slots by last name. If you have a conflict, attend any time slot:
4:30 – 5:10 pm: Last name A to H
5:10 – 5:50 pm: Last name I to Q
5:50 – 6:30 pm: Last Name R to Z
PowerSchool Schedules will be available in August, usually the week before the start of school, which is Monday, August 26, 2024. If you have not already, be sure to download the PowerSchool App, log-in using district code GJKX, enter your school ID and create a password.

Athletic Information
- Wednesday, June 12, 2024, 7:30 AM – Football Summer Workouts
- Monday July 1, 2024 to Friday July 5, 2024 and Monday July 15, 2024 to Friday July 19, 2024 – Sports Dead Periods (no workouts).
- Wednesday July 31, 2024, AM – Fall Sports Tryouts. Summer workouts & tryout information will be posted on team pages on MPHS Athletic Zone. Student athletes will need to complete all eligibility paperwork in DragonFly. Fall sports: Cheerleading, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Women’s Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis, and Volleyball.
- Thursday, August 22, 2024, 4:00 PM – MPHS Varsity Football Season-Opener. Keep Pounding Classic at the Bank of America Stadium. Independence Patriots vs. Myers Park Mustangs.
- Wednesday, October 30, 2024 – The first day of Winter Tryouts. Student athletes wanting to participate in a Winter Sport must complete all forms by October 18, 2024. Winter sports: Basketball, Indoor Track, Swimming and Diving, Wrestling.
- Wednesday, February 12, 2025 – The first day of Spring Tryouts. Student athletes wanting to participate in a Spring Sport must complete all forms by January 31, 2025. Spring Sports: Men’s Golf, Men’s Tennis, Track, Lacrosse, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Baseball.
